Welcome to Easy Route Auto ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all vehicle rental transactions between you ("Customer," "Renter," or "You") and Easy Route Auto. By reserving or renting a vehicle, you agree to abide by these Terms.
1. Eligibility Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old (or higher, based on vehicle type and jurisdiction) and possess a valid driver’s license.
- A valid credit or debit card in the renter's name is required for booking and deposit.
- Renters must present a government-issued photo ID.
- Rental eligibility and minimum age requirements may vary by state or local jurisdiction. Please check the requirements applicable in your pickup location.
2. Vehicle Use Restrictions
- Rented vehicles may only be operated by the individual(s) listed on the rental agreement.
- Vehicles may not be used:
- For commercial transportation of goods or passengers
- Off-road or on unpaved surfaces
- While under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- For illegal purposes or in a reckless manner
- To tow or push any object
- In any race, test, or contest
3. Rental Period and Extensions
- The rental period begins at the time the vehicle is delivered or picked up.
- Late returns may be subject to additional hourly or daily charges.
- Extensions must be requested and approved in advance.
4. Rates, Deposits, and Payment
- Daily rates include mileage limits unless otherwise stated.
- A refundable security deposit is required and will be held on your card until the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition.
- Payment must be made in full before or at the time of vehicle delivery.
- Additional charges may apply for premium vehicles, added mileage, or additional drivers.
5. Insurance and Damage Responsibility
- The renter is responsible for all loss or damage to the vehicle, regardless of fault, unless optional insurance coverage is purchased.
- Proof of personal auto insurance may be required at the time of rental.
- Optional protection plans (Collision Damage Waiver, Liability Insurance, Roadside Assistance) may be purchased separately.
- The renter is also responsible for deductibles not covered by insurance.
6. Fuel Policy
- Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at the start of rental.
- A refueling service charge will apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.
7. Traffic Violations and Tolls
- Renter is responsible for all traffic, toll, and parking violations incurred during the rental period.
- We may charge your credit card for any violations along with an administrative fee.
8. Vehicle Condition and Inspection
- A joint pre-rental inspection will be performed.
- The vehicle must be returned in the same condition, excluding normal wear and tear.
- Cleaning fees may apply for excessive dirt, pet hair, smoking, or odors.
- The renter is responsible for tire or windshield damage unless otherwise covered.
9. Roadside Assistance
- Basic roadside assistance is included for mechanical failures not caused by renter negligence.
- Additional coverage may be purchased for flat tires, lockouts, battery jumps, or towing.
10. Cancellations and No-Shows
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before pickup may be eligible for a refund.
- No-shows and late cancellations may result in forfeiture of deposit or full rental charge.
11. Liability Disclaimer
- We are not liable for loss or damage to personal property left in the vehicle.
- We are not responsible for delays or cancellations due to weather, accidents, or mechanical failure.
- We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel reservations at our sole discretion.
12. Privacy and Data Use
- Personal information collected during the reservation or rental process will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- This may include verification of identity, payment processing, and rental history tracking.
13. Digital Signature Agreement
- By submitting a reservation or completing a rental agreement, you agree to the use of electronic records and digital signatures.
- Your digital signature is legally binding and will be treated as equivalent to a handwritten signature for all purposes.
- You acknowledge that all electronically signed documents are enforceable and admissible under applicable laws.
14. GPS Tracking and Vehicle Monitoring
- Our vehicles may be equipped with GPS tracking devices to monitor location, mileage, speed, and unauthorized use.
- By renting a vehicle, you consent to the use of such tracking technologies for security, operational, and safety purposes.
- Data collected may be used in the event of theft, accident investigation, violation of terms, or law enforcement requests.
15. Modifications to Terms
- We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website.
- Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
